There is a consultation process underway on a proposed new play area at in Colshaw Farm. The project would be run by Groundwork.

We have asked that consideration be given to upgrading the path that runs
alongside the area from Dean Road to Colshaw Drive ("The Black Path") to a shared
cycling/pedestrian route?

It is wide and has some lighting and, if upgraded, would improve access to/from the play area and also promote safer cycling  between Handforth and Colshaw/Summerfields and Wilmslow.

This path is owned by Cheshire East  and forms a link in Regional Cycle Route 87 that has long been proposed by local cyclists and Sustrans.
